It does a lot of things right, but the long load times seriously hurt, even with UMD caching. The only ding I have against Dungeon Siege: Throne of Agony is the long load times. Untold Legends is crap on toast with more crap.

Oh yeah about that dungeon siege game for PSP, is it good? I only avoided getting it when I had the chance because I hated the Untold Legends games and thought perhaps it would be similar. Also, if your friend's laptop can't run Titan Quest, it won't be able to run Sacred 2 (lack of Pixel Shader 1.0/2.0/3.0 is the likely culprit). The main quest single-player is, otherwise, a typical Diablo-clone except that you have a flying potato that shoots enemies for you (woot!).ĮDIT: By the way, are you looking for multiplayer or single-player games? There are quite a few Diablo-like games that are Single Player only out there like the aforementioned Divine Divinity. Instead, it's more like a Puzzle/Gauntlet game that forces you to complete the levels within a time limit. The Co-op is interesting, but doesn't let you play through the game with a partner. There are other games (Valhalla Knights), but they aren't very good.įor the DS, do not, under any circumstances, buy Dungeon Explorer. Phantasy Star Portable will be out for PSP US in March (?). you'll love the inventory management and robot pal, but you'll hate the Co-op tying you and your friend together in a small radius) and Dungeon Siege: Throne of Agony (MUCH more like Diablo than Dungeon Siege, strangely enough). The PSP has Alien Syndrome (sci-fi Diablo-like. Hellgate: London (PC) has risen from the dead (ZOMG!), and will be free-to-play. Guild Wars and Dungeon Runners are Diablo-like, but they are more MMO than the Diablo Lobby/Quest system. Too Human (X-Box 360) is probably the most recent console Action-RPG game of a similar vein, but it has some wonky love-it-or-hate-it controls.įor the PC, Sacred 1/2, Dungeon Siege 1/2, and Titan Quest are the best options out there. Hunter: The Reckoning and all of the sequels are Diablo-like (various consoles).

Dungeons and Dragons: Heroes (X-Box) is basically a 4-player Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance/Champions of Norrath game.
